My personal guide to Barcelona I
It may seem weird, but one of my favourite restaurants in Barcelona is a tiny thai restaurant in Gràcia, called El Petit Bangkok.
I went there at first by recommendation of a friend. After that first time, every time my husband was visiting and we managed to get a table, El Petit Bangkok was an important part of our weekends. Speaking of tables, that's the first thing you should do if you want to go there: book in advance. When I said it was tiny, I wasn't exagerating; if I remember well, it has five tables for two, one for four and one for three, so trying to go there without a booked table is virtually impossible.
Even though it can be difficult to get a table, El Petit Bangkok is far from being an exclusive and uptight restaurant. It is just relaxed and cosy, with very nice people and delicious food! I just loved everything we tried there and while I'm writing this post I'm longing for their amazing shrimp and mint rolls...
In our visits there, we ended up by trying most (if not all) of the starters and they were all exquisite. Pad Thai was always one of our selected mains (yes, we're that predictable and boring), usually along with one of the curries (the green one was really really hot, particularly in Spain, where most of the times hot only means mildly spicy) and we were always pleased and surprised by them being so consistently good. For dessert, we tried the coconut pudding and stuck to it when coming back (I've already confessed we're boring).
With a bottle of wine, a meal for two with two starters, two mains and one dessert, was around twenty-something euros per person, which is not particularly expensive for Barcelona.
Anyway, instead of sitting here reading this post, do give them a call, book a table and give it a try. I'm sure you won't regret it!

Caminhadas
Na semana passada, fomos a pé até Belém. Começo a pensar se não deveríamos ter ido a pé até Fátima...
Manias
Não sei o que me faz mudar de canal mais rapidamente, se ficção australiana, se ficção alemã...
